Faith Principles in the Life of Job

The subject of this application study is the faith principles in the life of Job found in the book of Job, with special emphasis in chapters 1, 2, 29-31, 40, 42. The book of  Job records the suffering of Job, which tested his faith. Job’s testing of faith by God develops his character, faith, and dependence on God. The testing of faith by God develops his strengths due to his role (Matt. 12:29).

This discussion will focus on the qualities and characteristics of Job’s faith that shaped his life. Interpretation will be made based on (1) how faith applies to my life and work; and (2) how faith principles are evident and relevant in Christian work today.
