Fear is a controlling force in people’s lives. Ask God to reveal any fear in your life. Seek God about your fears, remember the promises that can transform fears into faith. Psalms 4:9 states, “O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want.” God calms fears. God desires to help diminish fears as you seek God in prayer.
When you are anxious or afraid, turn to God in prayer. God desires to carry people’s burdens. Through prayer, God trains us to cast all anxieties upon Him. God instructs us how to process anxieties. This process involves prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. When people pray they talk to God. In supplication, they petition Him and tell God what they would like Him to do about it. In thanksgiving, people turn their attention away from the problem and to God. Thanksgiving brings hearts to God as they praise Him.
